12 year old son board

My sons Birthday is coming up in August and he is wanting a new board. He is roughly 90 lbs (small for his age) Been looking at a ton of boards and just cant quiet decide. He has just picked up wakeboarding within the last few months and is just using a 141cm board we picked up locally for cheap to learn on.. What board and length do you guys recommend

Thats way too big for him right now.

He is 12 and will be growing soon so I would guess on where his size will be in the next few years and get a board based on that.

IMO, something in the 134-136 range is where he should be. This will help his control drastically. Definitely keep the board around as he may grow back into that one if he is going to be a bigger kid.

Have fun!

He found a liquid force trip 130 that he likes. Any reviews on this board. I like the idea of buying for his size a few years down road. Where if I buy a 125 for up to 90lbs is wasted in a year

The trip is a nice board. Will be able to grow with him as his skills improve. 130 might be a nice size for the next 5-8 years which is plenty of good usage and he may just want something different after that time.

Sounds like a solid choice to me
