dirt bike suggestions?

I'm looking for a "new to me" dirt bike. I'm currently on a DRZ400 which I enjoy but I'd like something a little quicker/lighter. Most of my riding now is single track trails and a little forest service roads. I've also been going to a beginner track with small jumps.
Ideally, I'd like a 4 stroke because we do a lot of overnight/camping rides that require fill ups and I'd rather not have to worry about mixing oil & gas.

Been looking at the KTM EXC 350 but that bike is crazy expensive and hard to find used.

Any ideas? I really don't want to own two bikes, well my wife doesn't want me to own two bikes;)

Not sure how new you are looking but I had a KLX 450 and it was a great bike. Quick and pretty nimble. You could also look at Huskys.

Mix gas and never look back.

I have a DRZ400 as well and feel your pain, but I do not really think any 4 stroke is going to be much different. In my opinion, the benefits of the 4 stroke make up for the weight, but I am not a racer by any means.

I have been out of the game for a while, but I didn't think they had produced 2 strokes for many years now.

Hot damn they survived! I had no idea you could by a new yz250. Newest one I've ridden is a 06 I bet the new ones aren't as stiff which was my only complaint vs my 05 cr250.

There's a reason used, newer KTMs are hard to find. Once you ride one, you want one. I ride a 2012 KTM 300xc and I had to fly to Phoenix to find a used one.

Everything about the KTM is superior. Brakes, suspension, everything. They're a pleasure to ride.
