2016 Moomba Craz Teaser

Here's the video that's on Moomba's website. Appears it's being revealed on the 15th. Looks pretty sweet to me!

Is it a whole new boat or just a package that you add to a current boat in the line up? Looks like some new features were added either way.
Looks deep.....
I really wanted to be excited. Looks like some LED'S and a touch screen. Big f'n deal!
Once in a while I really regret selling my 01' MOB V. It had a sick wake, tons of room, and handled the chop pretty well.
2 weeks ago I ran into a buddy I hadn't seen in a while. He had a 14' LSV? He wanted to show it to me on the worst way. He said he got it because of all the good times we used to have. I thought it was pretty cool but I couldn't help notice that the seats were aready tearing apart at the seams, just like they did on my 01'. I didn't mention it to him, but I thought, this is some real BS! 13 years and they can't find a way to make the seats last more then a year! To Moomba: keep the touch screen, make some seats that last. I'd buy another one, and so would a bunch of other people. |
Can Moomba pick any worse names?
I agree and I own a moomba......mojo, mondo, craz probably the worst names ever

I was told at the milwaukee boat show that the lsv is dead and replacement would be here this year. guessing this is the replacement. all new hull as the lsv was a hull from '06 that they just added some topdeck to a few years back.
not much to tell from a 20sec teaser but interested to see what it's all about. |
Curious as to where you guys think you saw a touch screen? The screen in the teaser video is the same one that is in the 2015 boats, which just has buttons.
Anyways, I'm excited to learn more about this boat. I'm assuming it is going to be a replacement for the outdated LSV, and hopefully they'll continue the trend they started on the 2015 Mojo and put a Supra SA/SC hull under it. Seriously though, these names just keep getting worse. "Craz" sounds like it should be the name of an early 2000's Sea-Doo jet boat. |
Google Moomba Craz.
I'm not one to 'leak' photos before a debut but a dealer put up a photo of one sitting at the dock on their facebook page. |
Haha. Yeah, the "Craz." Good lord, where are these names coming from? What's next, the Moomba Trix?

it's still up on the Moomba Website if it doesn't work on here.
that was awful 'white' of them to do that...
I think I missed the pics :(
Yep, they pulled it. Sorry guys.

Here's a new photo from Moomba's Twitter

Heard should be able to get one below 60k MSRP. Pretty good options. May be my next boat. I would buy an axis but damn, they are far from price point now.
I love Axis and have owned two of them, but Holy Hell they are getting PRICEY. Supply and Demand I guess. Why stop increasing price if everyone keeps buying them. Definitely not a Budget boat anymore!
I just heard what a gentleman paid for a new T23 and WOW........... |
Yep, might as well get the bells and whistles for what some people are paying. If I can get this boat for under 60k brand new I may have a new ride next year.
Moomba is starting to peak my interest...that is saying a lot considering I am an Axis fanboy.

My buddy got his T23 with SP3, flake gel coat, and 350 motor for right at what you paid for your last Vandall. Took him a little time negociatiating but he got it. |
Quote:
You lost me at 350 motor. If I can get the craz (essentially a new LSV) for under 60k with the 400 raptor motor for a BASE engine. It's a no brainer for me. An axis cannot be had for that price unless it had 0 stereo 0 trailer 0 flake and probably no Bimini or board racks😭 prices on them have gone up 100% compared to the 39999 base price they started at. If I'm able to order a brand new specd' out Axis I might as well step into a malibu. Sad to say because I was once an axis fanboy. But I do not what so ever believe you get your money's worth anymore. |
^^^I have to agree with the pricing. The whole reason I just bought a Supra
From Rick T himself...
"Should be under. 59,980 MSRP - Boat, Tandem, Aviator Tower, Fusion Stereo, Bluetooth, Wakeplate, Digital Cruise Pro, and a 400 Ford Raptor...plus a few to be named items. ." |
I have a pic of the surf wave..it's pretty impressive IMO

Pics or it didn't happen!
This boat has my interest but the name just sucks soooo bad.
Pull the name badges. Problem solved

Order it without the name plate on the side |
Guess we will see tomorrow

HOMERUN! |
Yep, moomba will sell these like hot cakes....including me :)
Names are just awful
They just wanted to jump on the 50k all day "Craz"
What is the release?
I'm not sure when it is. It's a slow day at work so when it drops I'll post up a pic of it.
the person (or people) who name moomba's boats should be fired
Well. We are talking about it though. You could look at that as a Win!
The video is up on Vimeo.

In that case here's the fb pic that was deleted:

SC, Moomba is definitely listening to the consumer and delivering the goods. Nice job!
So what's different about this than the new mojo? Shorter?
Moomba's website just updated for the new boat so might head over there for more info

For a "value boat" this is pretty sweet
Looks awesome all around. Even showed the wakeboard wake, and it looked good! Will definitely demo.
Does anyone know the type of pumps Moomba is now using for their ballast? Aerator pumps or reversible pumps? Easy to install a piggy back system? Can one get a wake out of the new 22 or 23'Moombas that is similar to a piggy back ballasted Bu 23 LSV + wedge? Or a sacked out SAN230?
I'm liking the new Moombas. Get a lot of boat for a decent price. |

Wake is super clean. I like that!
Wow. That's is one good looking boat with some higher end features at a low end price.
Very impressed at first glance. |
So I see base is 60k, what are you thinking a decent equipped model will go for?
I was told MSRP is 59k. A loaded out one is in the 60's. One could be had in the near mid 50's optioned with just the necessities you need not necessarily want. Cool thing about them is the trailer is built into the price.
Wetsounds, perfect pass (or equivalent), ballasts, auto flow. That's all I really want.
I'm impressed..... And that's saying a lot because the 2007 Supra Gravity Games Launch that I bought new was a POS. Build quality was horrible, dealer support was non-existent, and even up the chain to Skier's Choice was dead-ended. When I showed up at their front door it didn't do any good either. Boatmate did rebuild the trailer for me, so it wasnt a total loss. Anyway, the Craz looks pretty good for the price.

I do like the new Moomba Crav. Hopefully when I ready to part from my Supra I can find a sweet boat like this at that price point. |

Impressed enough to get back on the water full time again? Ha. I'm hoping if I buy new I can make my new boat the Pro Installz demo boat ;) |
I have had two Moombas now a 2007 obv and a 2012 xlv, have run flawlessly for 8 years of ownership. Never had an issue with the quality of what you got. Yes the names are silly but I guess they are the only ones outside the box with the names and they seem to sell.
This looks to me like it will be a great replacemenent for the very successful Lsv line from 2006 .. Nice job Rick T and the SC crew... |

Saw this thread over on the Moomba forum. Detailed review of the Craz from someone who just demo'd.

That was me. Very sweet boat... the one I rode in (pictured there) is optioned at 68k with a trailer.
Mike, can you explain how the reverse seat works? You said in your review it take just under a couple of minutes to install the seat back?

I got to spend some time in one last weekend and was seriously impressed. Everything was very well done and a huge improvement across the board. I'd say this boat is a grand slam for Moomba. |
I just picked up a Craz on Saturday. The rear seat slides into place in about 3 seconds. Installing the back takes another 30 seconds or so. I don't expect to use the seat a whole lot, but its a nice feature.
