Help needed from the Best!! That's you Guys!! My v230 2002 Sanger with Black Scorpion needs a new fiberglass muffler or can I repair this one or is it better to have one made or something else ..... can I just have a stainless steel pipe sleeve inserted in this or ...... help on where you can buy one or fix one or a better solution?

Fiberglass it! Clean it up a bit, lay some glass to rebuild, paint it black, better than new!

I had the same thing happen to mine. I just re fiber glassed it and its been working perfect ever since. Easy to do and you can get everything you need from Home Depot. Might try looking at a couple youtube videos before trying it ... super easy fix.

I know on Tige that have two mufflers near the transom, guys with FAE call up Larry and have him fab up a stainless straight pipe replacement (cheaper than replacement part usually). The new Nautique boats with a surf pipe have also removed the muffler. Rumor is FAE with no muffler has lower back pressure than no FAE with factory muffler.

If you do not have an FAE, it will be very loud without the muffler.

Topazsurfer with the Tige 22V has done this mod.
