Acme 1235/2079
Hey everyone,
Just got back from an awesome weekend at the lake! Weather was fantastic. One problem however, I have the 350 in my 20 MXZ and at 5000 feet of elevation I cannot get past about 9mph with the wedge down and fully loaded with ballast. I have no problem if I raise the wedge but then the surf wake is less than spectacular. I am willing to sell or trade the 1235 in search of an Acme 2079 if someone has one. |
How much do you want for the 1235? I am thinking of upgrading my 537. Are there any dings?
|
No dings at all on the prop. No vibrations or anything either. Where do you live and I will factor for shipping and give you a price?

Upstate ny

looks like it is about 25 bucks for ground shipping to you. I could do $350 including shipping.
|
Let me see if i can sell my 537 for like 200 on ebay. If i can we have a deal. I will put on tonight 5 day ebay sale. Will let u know by Monday if that works?

Isn't it the 2249 you want |
well the 2249 would get me a little more diameter but the pitch would stay the same. I think I need to drop a bit in pitch since I spend all of my time at 5000' elevation.

If you want a really aggressive 15" prop, try the 2775. It's a torque monster.
|
Give Nettle Props a call. They will make a solid recommendation based on boat, motor, Ballast, elevation, etc. I believe they even may still offer a swap if the prop they sell you isn't spot on.
In reference to the 2775, I run that on my Tige RZX3 w/ 4200lbs w/ the Raptor 440 at sea level and it's been more than enough. Does great at wake board speeds too, although running more around the 2500 lb mark. Good luck in the search. |
If the 1235 at elevation isn't working the 2079 isn't going to either, I've had both. Jump to a 15" prop like the 1235 or 2775. I'm at 5000', run 5400 pounds and had to get a 15x11 prop,,acme 2937 or 2951 were the ones.
|
I am running the 15x11 on my Supra SR 400 Raptor at 5400' with 3300lbs of ballast and have no problem getting to surf or wakeboard speed. With this prop I am running 4000rpm at 22mph. Acme is sending me a couple more props to try and see if I can get the rpm's down just a little without losing to much hole shot. One is a 2199 5 blade and a 2951 with a .120 cup. Should have them by the weekend to test. Acme has been great to work with in getting the right prop for my boat.
