Lowering standards continues
At what point do you actually hold those accountable for not being up to the minimal standard , rather then pretend no standard should exist?
More frightening practices from the left. Just another city in the long line of of 100’s being forced to hire unqualified applicants. What could possibly go wrong? The city of Minneapolis may fire its police psychology evaluator because his tests screened out too many minority candidates, despite already lowering psych evaluations far below the national standard. The July police shooting of Justine Damond triggered the city to scrutinize its psychological standards for police, with many claiming they’d become lax. Psychiatrist Thomas Gratzer has run psych testing for the Minneapolis police for the past five years, and in that time, he has eliminated four of the five tests used to determine whether a candidate is fit to be an officer, APM reported Thursday. Now, Gratzer is facing firing not for gutting his standard, but for screening out too many minorities. http://dailycaller.com/2017/12/15/mi...ny-minorities/ |
I agree, flawed logic from a broken philosophy.

My department doesn’t even hire in rank aorder anymore , it goes straight lottery. You could’ve been the highest scoring applicant with the combination of written test , physical test , military points , your psych score , and be lottery number 6000 while the guy with 1 point above failing is lottery number 1 . Like the lottery is legit? GTFO.
Every promotional class also is 30% meritorious these days. ( aka hand picked ) . No standard for meritorious selection, and it’s only there to even out the demographics for each class. Race or gender. What I don’t get is that these activists , politicians , and lawyers all want officers held highest standard, yet they consistently keep lowering the standards to attract a more “diverse group. You can’t have it both ways |
