Tubing

Alright so not wakesurf related other than the boat and i'm posting here because it seems the most active. So my lady like tubing, not the tubing you and I like. She prefers a leisurely lap around the lake at semi slow speeds and god help me if she ends up outside the wake while out there. That being said anyone tube with ballast to get that big wake for their riders? If so what are your comments or thoughts on it?

Do everyone a favor: teach her a board sport and ditch the tube.

Esp. if youre gonna do it fully weighted....jees. I have newies and small kids on my boat often so I get that the tube has a purpose....but at least get her on a knee board.

Throw her off that thing once like a rag doll and she will never want to do it again. Your problems are solved.

Why would you run ballast to pull tubes? Pull your tuber through double ups or triple ups, if you can't launch them sky high from that you're doing it all wrong & ballast won't help.

^+1 trade her in. Sounds like a dead fish.

denverd1 02-15-2018 1:15 PM

put a large anchor in the tube with her. get her started then pull to middle of the lake. disconnect tow rope, drive straight for 2 minutes, then turn and come back by her at surfing speed. shoot holes in the tube as you pass by.

actually use a bag of concrete, tell her it's a seat so she can see. don't want to lose a good anchor.

Hahahahahaha that’s a pretty damn sick post !
Man, just don’t imagine someone pulling a tube with all ballast full hahaha.
Used to make tube Couple Times per summer when kids are in with their friends and cousin.
Tubbing is already deadly for them without ballast at wakeboard speed and taking taking our wave hahaha.
With ballast full even if it’s for me or anybody i know pretty sure it end up with a corpse or tromatized haha..
What a crazy idea lol.

I tow tubes with stretch 60’ stretch line, wedge down, and all 2800 lbs in. From the tower.

I also keep an ambulance on standby.
