Jade Mountain St. Lucia

Has anyone ever been? Im going on my honeymoon in June. Saw this place and really thought it was amazing. Unfortunately I am by no means rich and this place is super pricey. I could not swing 7-9 days. So, i was thinking about staying at a cheaper place for say 4-5 days, hopefully all inclusive near Jade Mountain, then staying at the "star" suite at Jade for the remaining 3-4 days of the honeymooon.

Has anyone done somehting like this, or could recommened a resort for the first 4 days? Not looking for a dump but something we could get a smaller more regular room and enjoy hiking and snorkling, and all that St Lucia has to offer. Something like a Sandals but maybe smaller and less expensive. I would hate to spend the money on Jade and be out of the room the entire time sight seeing.

Any help would be great!!

Thanks
Rob

Look at the Anse Chastanet. Service is great, rooms are great, but most do not have air conditioning. Great hiking and mountain biking on the island

Thanks Rodney, we thought about staying there for the first portion but the website is just so weird. Also some reviews on tripadvisors were not that great, most said stay elsewhere if possible? But that is comon on tripadvisor, Cant please everyone. Any other help would be great.

Thanks again

After contacting Jade im realizing it is just so expensive. Any other alternatives would be helpful.

This is in St.Thomas USVI but it's my families condo. http://www.vrbo.com/271124 We do rent it out as well. Not really a resort nor an all inclusive but is a condo right on the water facing the yacht harbour. No local pool on the grounds but it's only a 5 minute walk to the Ritz Carlton. That's where we go to sit by a pool and rub elbows with all the rich.
