I am knew to McCormics and want to start hitting some of the beg obstacles and kickers. I have an Ibex which I have to believe would be ridiculous without fins. Would it be ok to ride and hit some of the obstacles with fins what issue might I have. Thanks

DEFINITELY take the fins off! For 2 reasons.

1. Most cable parks will frown upon or straight up not allow metal fins on their rails. I ride McCormicks on a regular basis and they don't like metal fins which, correct me if I'm wrong, the Ibex has.

2. Fins have the tendency to catch on rails, so as long as you are comfortable riding finless, no fins will actually make the learning process easier. I ride my recoil with no fins and it has no bottom features at all and I have no issues.

I gotta run but I'll be over there on wednesday if you need any help.

Metal fins will put nicks in the rails that can cause other people to catch on it. Especially when the nick is fresh and hasn't been knocked down.

They don't seem like metal fins. Would assume I should be able to find small plastic fins form ronex or shop. The issue is the Ibex has an extreme 3 stage but I can give it a try.

I rode an Ibex cable/wake/everything finless, if you know how to edge it is fine.
