Ronix camber for inverts...?
so , camber is great ,but i would like to learn some basic inverts, like Tantrum and backroll (this one i already know, but i need to master it )
Would camber be good for this as well?most of you are speaking about " great landings, easy for knees, w2w jumps..." but what about something like this? probably its the same like any other type of wake board, but still....i wanted 144 cm length so i don't know will this cause troubles.Usually , i was like 138-140 cm I learned Backroll with continuous rocker, but not sure how it will go with camber ,because of different body position. Thanks |
I'm a Ronix guy and I will say no. A developing rider needs access to speed and consistency. The cambers buck hard, but they rely a super strong driving edge. If you come off edge it stops. You need something that will continue to glide even if your edge is a little inconsistent. A 2018 happy hour is a great option or RXT if you don't mind spending the dough. I haven't ridden it yet, but this year's Parks looks super easy to ride too. If you want a little more buck, look at the One.
It should be noted that Ronix has dropped the camber from its line....For a reason. |
If the wake is big then stick to continuous rocker

I was looking at Time bomb, but not sure if thats "overkill" for my skill, ONE is cheaper anyway...hmmmmm Or you ment Parks modello , 2019? That one i can find easier locally, and the price is lower. RXT is a lot of money,so i 'll skip it. Also, about size, 138cm i can find here, but i am 85kg and 178 cm, so i guess i should go more for 141-144?Thanks |

Prices here are :
Timebomb 699€ RXT 899€ just WOW price...! ONE 599€ PARKS 2019 419 € ( maybe the best option for me, regarding my skill and price range...? ) VAULT 319 WEEKEND 365€ Some are continuous and some are 3 stage rocker....thoughts...?Thanks |
I had a Ronix Bandwagon in the past and as mentioned it is very slow - from what I've heard the bandwagon is the slowest of the camber boards . I switched to the One (ATR) a couple years ago and instantly noticed how much less effort it took to ride. Landings weren't as soft but I could ride a lot longer and the board quite predictable. I also had a chance to ride the One timebomb and didn't notice a difference - maybe a better rider could.
I talked to someone who just got the RXT and her comment was that when you get it right it's great but not very forgiving. |
