Tpp

Whats everyone's thoughts on it? From what I read it will give so much power to these tribunals and give all the wealth to a few huge companies.
It seems to be quite well funded by large corporations and has paid off a lot of politicians on both sides of the aisle.
Even saw an article from Australia, with them being spooked of what it will do to their medical industry.

Sounds like another sell out of our country. Drones and TPP are the only two things that Republicans don't rag on Obama over.

When Citizens United passed the last vestige of actual democracy in this country disappeared. What was once done in secret (bribery, corruption, quid-pro-quo) are now perfectly legal.

The only reason candidates campaign anymore at all is to let the "donor class" (aka billionaires and corporations) decide whether they should sponsor them for the upcoming election. It's like a perverse and sad version of America Idol or NASCAR where the candidate themselves no longer matter it's all about whether they can fool the voters long enough to get into office and implement the policies that are already drawn up by the K street lobbying firms.

The fact that the actual text of the TPP is not available for public viewing should scare the hell out every American working in a job that can be shipped overseas to someone working for 10.00 a month.

I read somewhere maybe 10 years ago that eventually the only jobs left in America would be CEO and janitor. It seemed funny at the time but is becoming more of a reality every day.
