Board repair?

Sad to report that after just a few rides my inland surfer big boy flyboy suffered a penny sized dent and slight puncture through the bottom of the board.

I can only assume something must have been in the water. Any tips on how to best repair it?

I've used solarex, seems to work really well.

Most wakesurf boards are built with EPS foam and epoxy resin. Make sure the repair and damage with Resin Research Epoxy resin. Solarez (or any polyester resin) will melt the EPS foam core and cause a lot more trouble for you.

Jimmy, I can walk you through the repairs.

Here are some repair kits to consider. You will find two 2:1 epoxy kits (these are the best, UV cure resins are not very good. They are OK for temporary fixes). I also carry an inexpensive easy to use UV epoxy tube kit. You can achieve good results with UV cure resins, but they are never clear, tend to yellow rapidly, are always soft and don't sand well.

Solarrez will work, but you need to be sure to use the epoxy type. Solarrez is just a different brand. I use to use their polyester for board production many many years ago.
