Hello All,
I am going to be in Belize on Amberguis (SP) Caye and wondered if there was anywhere to wakeboard down there. Probably not but thought it was worth a shot. I will take my rig if I can board.

Thanks
Preston

You do know that you are going to one of the premier dive sites in the world right?

Oddly enough, my brother-in-law is the Navel Attache to Belize. I'll shoot him an email and see if he's got any hot tips down there!

south end, the reef will protect most areas from waves. the guys at Hamanasi, south of dangriga and Hopkins will give you a pull, but no gear. give me a minute.

dive Turniff's Reef. or whatver the hell it is. a Jacques Cousteau top 10. 40 ft coral columns--> incredible

Thanks for all the replies. I understand that the diving is great but I am going for a wedding and will not be there long enough plus I amnot certified. I figured that if there is anyway that I could squeeze a wakeboard run in then I would take my board

I would recomend taking a wakeskate, and rent a jet ski, the water is pretty flat, I was just there this last summer, and I wish I had brought a rope, skate and jacket.
