The $20 for gas just isn't enough anymore thread got me thinking, how long and how often is everybody out on the lake/river? We're usually only out for 3-4 hours a day in the summer because we live just a few miles from the lake, but my Dad has 'shutdown' where he works where the whole place gets vacation for a few weeks during the summer, so we go pretty much every day then. How about everybody else?
3-4 sets every night, and sundays we are on the lake all day.

Its nice when I can go out the door, walk 100yds and be in the boat.
You guys are hardcore. We usually go at least twice a week in the evenings after I get off work. We also go on 3-day camping trips to lakes that are further away about 3-4 times throughout the summer. I thought we went a lot but ya'll have me beat!
we usually go out 4 times a week 3 nights during the week and either all day Saturday or Sunday which ever works best
1-2 nights after work and either all day sat or sun. sometimes sat and sun ( but this is were gas prices have taken their toll)
Ideally, I would get a few afternoon sets a week and all day Saturday and a few hours Sunday. That has only happened a few times. Usually Saturday and part of Sunday.
Not often enough. Definitely every tuesday and sunday that it's nice out though
Well I feel a little better about my progression pace after reading this thread. I am lucky to get out once every week (OR TWO) in summer (kids have too many other things going on). If it were up to me, I would be out at least 3x a week.
i live at the lake so most everyday... usually ride every other day as long as the weather is good
i envy you all! i get out about every 3 or 4 weeks in the summer . if im lucky i might get a couple times where its a week or 2 apart =/
I try to go to the reservior/lake once ever 3 weeks in the summer. When I say summer I mean labor day to memorial day. The D a few times too. Cutting back and trying to just do more 3 day camping trips this year which basically means 2 hours in the morning riding. Floating around all after noon and a hour in the late aternoon when the glass is back. Still sucks down atleast 25 -40 gallons a trip. No use in trying to wakeboard when all the crazy tubers etc are out. If the water is not good I would rather save gas and chill and nap in the sun. Maybe throw a pole in.
2-3 15-20 minute rides usually 1-2 times a week.
Ohhh the envy I have towards some of you! If I had it my way, at least 3x's during the week and full Sat and Sun. The wife and kids just do not like it as much as me. So at this point once a week is all I'm getting.
during the summer every morning before work ( i go to work at 12:30 5 days a week) and whichever two days i'm off i go all day. Sometimes only 1 day a week all day but 95% of the time i go out every morning for around 3 hours
I try really hard to get out early mornings 3x and on either Saturday or Sunday all day
3-4 early mornings and 4-5 nights a week and all day saturday
My schedule this year is going to be every Wednesday afternoon and Saturday or Sunday every week.
Right now, it is about once every couple of weeks...at best. When baby comes in 3 weeks I'm expecting even less. :-( Oh well, at least she already got her lifejacket in one of the baby showers!
I get out 1-2 times a week in the summer...Sunday mornings, and usually one evening after work. I drive over an hour to get there from work and Sundays it is 25 minutes. Also it is not my boat so I have no choice.
Just curious but the guys who ride 3-4 times a week, how old are you? I live on the lake and can put my boat in the water in 5 min, and I still maybe get out 1-2/week. With the hour commute home, gym, keeping the house clean, yardwork, dogsect...I don't even have kids, lol.
we ride everyday its not windy...

i'm 26 too...i'm the oldest out of all the guys i ride with on the regular too...
We live on a lake so a long session on the boat is 4 hours, but sometimes we will launch it 2 or 3xs a day on a weekend depending on conditions and who is with us and what we are doing. For wakeboarding, we pretty much stick to pre-noon rides on weekends and a few evening runs, but may pull tubes or surf any time during the day.

Overall we might take the boat out 1-2 days / week, but will sneak in some quick skate or skiing sessions behind the PWC another 1-2 xs / week, but the PWC sets are usually pretty quick 1 hour sets.
Whenever the weather is good (reasonable air/water temp, low wind) I'll go out once during the week and once on the weekend. In both cases, I go early in the morning, but we'll stay out a bit longer on the weekend (3 sets rather than 2 sets).

For all you guys that ride all day Saturday/Sunday, are you on private lakes? During the main boating season, there's no way I'd want to ride a wakeboard or wakeskate Saturday or Sunday after about 11:00 am.
7 days a week as long as the weather is nice after school lets out. My wife and I are both teachers. Late mornings Monday-Friday with family and early mornings on weekends with my weekend warrior buddies.
You guys that are riding 2 sets a day must be pretty good...
My son was riding 2 to 3 sets a day for 2 years and that was 30 min drive to the lake after school, know it's 2 to 3 times aweek...
Now that he is 18 mom made him get a job..
We ride 6 days a week with Monday as a rest day. Fri, Sat and Sun we are all day on the water 11 or 12 to about7). Tues, Wed and Thursday. are evenings from 4 to 7. At least 3 sets a day if not more. Granted we are on a private lake and not in the boat the whole time.
2-4 days a week during peak summer. Usually 2-3 people ride and we are on the water less then 1.5 hour.
Ben, I wish you where my dad....
I like to ride around 7 every morning before the lake gets busy.... I might ride once at night too if its calm
word alex. early mornings are the only time to ride. maybe a night surf sesh as well...
i also call BS on most of the times ridden, plus most of you have seasons of 3-4 months at the most.
I only get the chance to go out on Sundays since I don't live at the lake. Once there though I am out all day getting as much water time in as possible since it's all I get all week. Out of school is different then I can go during the week.
Jonny, I can show you the gas bill to prove it. we also ride all year round.
Ben... i KNOW you guys do as well as the Taylors. Its these other guys that i am calling BS on for the most part. But then again, i should worry more about my ride time then what everyone else is doing.
I can be riding from March - November, nice and long season for me...

However, because of the lack of a driver I'm not actually out on the water that often, but if I had one, and had a wakeboard boat, I'd be out for 2 or so sets a day five days a week from May-August...
The reason I ride so much is I only get from may to mid october. So i get out there as much as possible.

Like today its 35* and snowing, but i'm heading out in 15mins. yeeeehaa!
