Skate advice...

Looking for a wakeskate with foam top and grind base. I have a Ronix Hoverboard, which I really like. Unfortunately when trying to learn to land the bigger ramps I frequently get "bit" by the grip tape. I also have a bottom of the line LF Obscura Focus that has a foam top but the base is wearing after just riding it for a while.

Or if anyone has any suggestions on where to get foam I could put it on the Ronix.

You'll probably have to customize a deck with foam...aside from what the wakeboard companies sell, wakeskates really aren't sold with foam.

Remote will have a hybrid deck coming out--wood with a durable base and urethane rails, though it will have grip. It's supposed to be thinner than the normal wood concaves and won't cost as much.

you could strip the grip tape and put some surf traction on there. Front foot traction is relatively flat and you could probably load up the deck with it.

Something like this?

Yeah, what I'm finding is that pretty much any foam that will cover the board will run about $50+. I'll probably just endure getting the occasional grip tape burn.
