Well we did manage to throw a small wrench into the ridiculous predictability of the 2008 Pro Wakeboard Tour in the final week of competition. That made our Pro Tour Prognostication contest, brought to you by Liquid Force, a little more interesting. Phillip Soven, Nicola Butler and Jimmy LaRiche have managed to share 13 of the 15 available first place finishes on the 2008 Pro Tour. Phillip won all five of the Pro Men contests and Nicola looked to be on her way to doing the same in the Pro Women division, but she got tripped up by Emily Copeland Durham this week in Reno. Meanwhile, Junior Men phenom, Jimmy LaRiche has won four events in a row after starting the season off with a second place finish.
Of the 603 entrants, only three of you picked Soven, Copeland Durham and LaRiche to win. As the rules state, since more than one entrant got all three division winners correct, we are forced to do a random drawing from those to determine the prognosticator that will take home this killer Shawn Watson prize package...
And the big winner is...
Derrick Lenz
Here's the breakdown of the responses we got from you. As mentioned, there were 603 entries. 343 Of you predicted Phillip Soven would win the Pro Men division, only 18 of you predicted that Emily Copeland Durham would top the Pro Women's podium and 401 of you figured Jimmy LaRiche would grab his fourth Jr. Men win.
That wraps things up for our Pro Tour Prognostication contest giveaways for 2008. Thanks for everybody's participation and a special thanks to Liquid Force for all the great prizes. Don't forget to play again in 2009.
