Company comments: If you were to take a Byerly board and a Motive board and combine them into one it would look very similar to this series. This kind of versatility really might make it the "Premier" board. A ride designed by the next generation.

"This is only my second full year with Hyperlite and I have already re-designed my pro model shape from 2001. When we designed my board last year I was blown away with how it affected my riding. To me this shape does everything well. With a subtle 3-stage rocker it has the big snap off the wake I was looking for but it still has the smooth consistent feel when the board releases. Depending on what depth center fin I put on it, if even one at all, the board can ride totally different. This year we made the tip/tail a little bit stiffer, which helps out when I’m jibbing and also gives a little more boot off the wake. Hyperlite also made the step down rail longer which gives the rail more bite when I’m edging.

I got a chance to work with the same artist on my graphics this year. We tried to design a look, especially on my 135, that has never been around in wakeboarding. We also threw in a Pointless Production plug."

The Premier Features
  • 2.6" Subtle 3 - Stage Rocker- a combination of the smooth continuous rocker and the bucking explosion of a 3-stage rocker.
  • Deep Step Down Rail - the deepest Hyperlite step down rail. Sits deeper on the water and increases the bite when on edge.
  • "V" Bottom Full - Length Tunnel- breaks up the water on landings and aids tracking.
  • Two 1.1" Premier Fiberglass Fins - these center fins provide the general grip for the board with a quicker release because of the shallow depth
  • Four .8" Deep x 12" Long Molded-In Fins - these deep outer fins act as the primary form of traction and provide additional stability.
  • Shallow Cupped Rails - a slightly more responsive grip into a turn.
  • Vented Channels - increase the speed of the board when on edge.

Comments:  I cut my head open twice on this board getting over 15 stiches. It is not forgiving at all. If you land a little off balance you will go for a nice bail. Over all I hate the board. I’m selling mine, any takers?>
